The DAISSy Research Group of Hellenic Open University (HOU) participates as partner in the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships european cofunded project “A European Inclusion Reference Framework for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (IncluDE)”, which is coordinated by the European Association of Distance Teaching Universities (EADTU) and involves leading European universities and organisations.
IncluDE aims to support Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and lifelong learning providers in strengthening the implementation of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI) Principles by developing:
- a Compendium of Principles and Recommendations,
- a matrix-based Inclusion Reference Framework,
- an Inclusivity Evaluation Instrument,
- an Inclusion Monitor and Resources Portal,
- and a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course for staff.
The first onsite Transnational Partners’ Meeting (TPM) of the IncluDE and a Peer Learning Activity (PLA) were held on 30th and-31st October 2025, in Brussels (Belgium). DAISSy-HOU was represented by Ms Eleni Georgakakou, Senior Project Manager and Lead Researcher on EDI, who contributed substantially to the discussions by transferring DAISSy's high-quality relevant expertise.
More precisely, the first day of the TPM sessions focused on several points of the project’s implementation. Specifically, regarding the progress of Work Package (WP) 2 and the validation of the Compendium of Principles, the development of the Inclusion Reference Framework (WP3), the co-design of the Inclusion Monitor and Resources Portal (WP4), as well as the planning of targeted dissemination activities (WP6) and the CPD course (WP5).
The second day on the TPM was dedicated to the Peer Learning Activity entitled “From Principles to Practice: Translating the IncluDE Compendium into Measurable Indicators”. Partners worked collaboratively and mapped Principles to Recommendations, indicators and self-assessment questions; they adopted the student journey model as the organising structure, and also agreed on a shared template and color-coding for cross-cutting themes. The two-day meeting concluded in an atmosphere of teamworking and mutual understanding within the IncluDE consortium and regarding the project’s next implementation steps.
IncluDE is a three-year project co-funded by the ERASMUS+ programme of the European Union (EU). It is coordinated by EADTU (The Netherlands) and the consortium includes eight (8) partners in eight (8) countries, namely, EADTU (The Netherlands), European Students’ Union (Belgium), Universidade Alberta (Portugal), The Open University (United Kingdom), Fernuniversitat in Hagen (Germany), Hellenic Open University (Greece), Universidad Nacional De Educacion A Distancia (Spain), Tampereen Ammattikorkeakoulu Oy (Finland).
