The DAISSy Research Group at the Hellenic Open University (HOU) invites you to register to the Training of Trainers (ToT) course, which is being held as part of the implementation of the European project “Tour-X,” currently undergoing by the Research Group, as the Greek partner. This is a project of the Center of Vocational Excellence (COVE) for the Tourism Industry, which aims to foster excellence in this sector through a “bottom-up” approach.
Specifically, the Tour-X training course focuses on the professional development of Tourism Educators and Trainers, enabling them to support the updated curricula developed by Tour-X, within the framework of the Hospitality Labs. It builds on their existing knowledge and incorporates concepts such as sustainable and cultural tourism, green skills, adventure tourism, and accessible tourism, fostering respect for diversity and the provision of innovative, personalized services to broader target groups, such as elderly, and travelers with special needs.

Tour-X is a four-year project (June 2022–May 2026) and is co-funded by the ERASMUS+ program of the European Union. It is implemented by a consortium of twenty-three (23) experienced partners, representing the leading providers of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the tourism sector, as well as regional authorities from six (6) EU member states (Greece, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal) as well as China.
DAISSy-HOU, the Greek academic partner, participates in all deliverables of the Tour-X project and is responsible for the “Quality Framework for improving quality in VET through feedback loops and the development of graduate tracking systems” and the “Creation and maintenance of a database system” (Watch Tower) for regional skills needs in the tourism sector. At the same time, the Research Group contributes to the effective implementation of the Tour-X activities in Greece by connecting relevant stakeholders with the aim of maximizing the utilization of the results and the impact of the project.
