The DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) invites you to the international webinar on discovering the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform of “Tour-X”, the first European Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) project funded specifically for tourism industry under Erasmus+ program, with regard to the green and digital transition of this sector.
Tour-X project, currently undergoing by DAISSy-HOU as the Greek academic partner, has been recognised as a “good practice” by the European Training Foundation, highlighting its innovative contribution to vocational education, sustainability, and digital transformation in tourism. Indeed, the TourX MOOC Platform provides access to high-quality learning, that includes soft skills modules, training material, quizzes and learning activities, digital and green transition resources as well as innovative educational methodologies and tools.
More precisely, the upcoming international webinar will be a step-by-step guide to the learning and certification process of the Tour-X platform. The participants will be guided by trainers so as to explore selected modules, to complete quizzes and learning activities, to create their profile on the platform, to learn how to complete the required steps in order to receive Microbadges and Certificates. Therefore, the international webinar will showcase the way to explore the Tour-X platform and trigger the interest of the participants in order to explore more themselves if they wish, at a next stage, on their own time and pace.

Tour-X is a four-year project (June 2022–May 2026) and is co-funded by the ERASMUS+ program of the European Union. It is implemented by a consortium of twenty-three (23) experienced partners, representing the leading providers of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the tourism sector, as well as regional authorities from six (6) EU member states (Greece, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal) as well as China.
DAISSy-HOU, the Greek academic partner, participates in all deliverables of the Tour-X project and is responsible for the “Quality Framework for improving quality in VET through feedback loops and the development of graduate tracking systems” and the “Creation and maintenance of a database system” (Watch Tower) for regional skills needs in the tourism sector. At the same time, the Research Group contributes to the effective implementation of the Tour-X activities in Greece by connecting relevant stakeholders with the aim of maximizing the utilization of the results and the impact of the project.
