AI-Driven Open Science: A Curriculum for Research and Innovation
_ Description
AIOS aims to bridge the gap between the academic community and industry, strengthening the adoption of Open Science practices through AI tools. The main objectives include:
- Creating a curriculum for the Open Science Officer (OSO) role. Empowering researchers with AI skills for open data analysis and automated literature reviews.
- Promoting public understanding of scientific research through AI.
The project is aimed at researchers, academic staff, students, executives from research-intensive businesses, as well as education policymakers.
_ Outcomes
The project is structured into 5 Work Packages (WPs):
- WP1 – Project Management: Coordination, financial monitoring, and quality assurance.
- WP2 – Development of Assessment Tools: Creation of self-assessment tools for skills and design of personalized "learning pathways."
- WP3 – Development of the AIOS Curriculum: Design of the academic framework for the OSO role.
- WP4 – Development of the Training Kit: Creation of 20 training modules and Open Educational Resources (OERs).
- WP5 – Pilot Implementation and Certification: Training of a pilot group of 100 individuals, evaluation, and dissemination of results.
