\"biblio-logo\"The DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU), the Greek project partner, presented the \u201cBIBLIO: Boosting digital skills ad competencies for librarians in Europe<\/a>\u201d <\/strong>EU project within the \u201cERASMUS DAYS 2021\u201d institution. In particular, the Biblio presentation was included in the “DAISSy Days<\/a>” initiative organized by the DAISSy-HOU<\/a>, to celebrate the \u201cERASMUS DAYS 2021\u201d. This is an innovative initiative of the DAISSy-HOU, sharing a valuable experience in the implementation of European projects, including numerous currently ongoing projects also funded by the ERASMUS+ EU program.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the presentation of the BIBLIO project was part of the thematic webinarentitled “Acquisition of new skills in professional fields” that was organized on Friday 15th<\/sup> October, at 16.00-17.30. The event highlighted indicative European projects currently undergoing by DAISSy-HOU, which aim at developing the skills of the professionals active in the sectors of education, Libraries, local government (“smart” cities), tourism, energy (“smart” lighting “) and culture.<\/strong><\/p>\n

More precisely, it included a detailed description of all types of the research<\/a> carried out by the BIBLIO project and its findings Emphasis was put on the need expressed by the librarians to update their skills to fulfill their tasks at work within the digital era.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, it was showcased how the two new job role profiles emerged and the expected multiple tasks of the Community Engagement and Communication-CECO<\/a> and the Digital Transformation Facilitator-DIGY were analyzed.<\/p>\n

In addition, the content of the BIBLIO MOOC<\/a> modules were described briefly as well as the e-platform of the MOOC developed by DAISSy-HOU. It was noted that the MOOC is part of the modular training programme for the development of the competences included in the CECO<\/a> and DIGY<\/a> job role profiles, to be followed by the BIBLIO blended training course<\/a> and the work-based learning activities.\"daissy-days-biblio-1\"<\/p>\n
