The DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU), the academic Greek partner of the “Accessible Digital EDUcation (ADEDU)” European project, announces the publication of the deliverable entitled “Guidelines for Inclusive Digital Education Platforms”, that regards a comprehensive framework of guidelines for creating and upgrading digital educational platforms that meet the needs of all learners, including individuals with learning difficulties.

Regional Growth Conference 2026

The European project AIM-PRO was presented at the Regional Growth Conference 2026 as part of its dissemination and communication activities. The conference provided an opportunity to present the project’s main objectives, research approach and current actions. A particular emphasis was placed on the use of innovative technologies and interdisciplinary methodologies to address contemporary developmental and social challenges. The importance of collaboration between academia, research organisations, public administration, vocational education and the innovation ecosystem was also highlighted as a key prerequisite for promoting sustainable and technologically advanced solutions with a social and regional impact.

DAISSy–HOU launches pilot short courses for Smart and Resilient Communities Officers

The DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) launches the implementation of the pilot phase of the short courses of the “SMARCO – Blueprint for SMARt COmmunities’ Skills Development in Europe“ European project, currently undergoing by DAISSy-HOU as the Greek partner. This training cycle has been developed within the framework of SMARCO and currently is being piloted across six European countries, with DAISSy–HOU as the National Coordinator of the pilot in Greece. In parallel with the national pilot educational program, a multinational piloting activity is taking place, fostering cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants.

Such habits enable individuals to manage screen time, recognise online risks, protect their privacy, and engage critically with digital content. Without these skills, digital environments can expose users to misinformation, online harassment, privacy violations, or patterns of use that undermine trust and participation.
