Boosting digital skills and competences for librarians in Europe
_ Description
The project addresses the skills gap in the library sector, due to the digital transformation that is changing the role of libraries, by facilitating the acquisition of digital and transversal skills for library professionals. Specifically, by analyzing the training needs and offers of the specific sector, it has identified two emerging job role profiles: the Community Engagement and Communication Officer and the Digital Transformation Facilitator. For each, a modular VET curriculum as well as further educational material has been designed, and a MOOC and a Specialization Training Course, including face-to-face, virtual, project-based and a work-based learning phase, have been developed.
