The DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU), the Greek partner of the “Entrepreneurial and Innovation Proficiency: A Way to Digital Agenda-EPIDA” European project, organises the first major dissemination event entitled “University and the Social and Solidarity Economy: Innovation Ecosystems”. The event takes place on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 10:00 am (EEST), in Athens, Greece (at the ETERON venue).

Honorably, the Directorate of Social and Solidarity Economy of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family of Greece, takes part in this event, which brings together representatives from Higher Education and Research with actors from Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) sector. Aiming at fostering meaningful dialogue on the role of Higher Education in advancing Social Innovation, emphasis will be put on exploring current needs and challenges, and identifying new opportunities for collaboration between higher education and the SSE ecosystem.

EPIDA is a 30-month project running from September 1, 2025, to February 29, 2028 co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. The project is coordinated by Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" (Bulgaria), and its consortium comprises Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (France), Hellenic Open University-DAISSy Research Group (Greece), Universitatea Lucian Blaga Din Sibiu (Romania), and Universitet Aleksander Xhuvani Elbasan (Albania). DAISSy-HOU is actively involved across all EPIDA work packages, holding primary responsibility for coordinating the Circular Learning Mobility of students and trainers (Task 3.1) and the Temporary Hubs to exchange good practices (Task 3.2).
